I started it after talking to forestry mulching and land clearing contractors and hearing the same thing over and over: jobs get quoted on a legal pad, costs live in a spreadsheet nobody updates after day two, and at the end of the month you are guessing whether you made money.
The tools that existed were built for HVAC techs and lawn care. None of them knew what a density-by-terrain rate card was, or why you would track carbide teeth by the job, or how to measure acreage off a satellite image instead of pacing it out. Mulching crews deserve something built for how their work actually runs, not a dumbed-down version of a general contractor platform.
I believe people deserve nice things. Tools that feel good to use, get out of your way, and work the way a crew on rural acreage actually works, with or without a signal. Not a training course. Not a per-seat tax. Just something that helps you quote faster, track the job, and know what it made.
MulchDeck does one thing well: it bids the job and runs it through to the last invoice. Parcel lines on satellite. Rate card pricing. PDF quotes sent from the truck. Daily logs with hours, fuel, and teeth. Before and after photos. Invoices from the quote. Profitability per job.
MulchDeck is my long-term project. The job is to make the simplest tool a mulching shop can actually use, and keep it that way.

One plan. $149/month flat, unlimited users, no per-seat fees. There is a 14-day free trial. It works on the web, iPhone, and Android, and works offline on rural acreage.
What does MulchDeck actually do?
It bids the job and then runs it. Type the address and the parcel lines load on satellite, your rate card prices the acreage by density and terrain, and one tap makes a branded PDF quote. After that: daily logs with hours, fuel, and carbide teeth, before and after photos, invoices built from the quote, and profitability per job. It is not accounting or payroll, and it does not process payments. Customers pay you directly. Most crews still use QuickBooks for the books.
